American hip hop singer and rapper Rhymefest (birth name Che Smith) was born on July 6, 1977, in Chicago, Illinois, United States. In the beginning, he made several successful television appearances on the MTV show Punk'd. There he caught the attention of the American famous rapper and record produced Kanye West, who later helped him to get his first record contract. As a result, he made a deal with both J Records and Allido Records labels. He emerged on the American hip hop scene in 2006 with his breakthrough debut album, Blue Collar, which spawned the hit singles such as "Brand New" (featuring Kanye West), "Dynomite (Going Postal)", "Sister" and "All Girls Cheat".
