Rhonda Vincent

Rhonda Vincent was born on July 13, 1962 in Kirksville, Missouri, the United States. She is an American bluegrass singer-songwriter and musician, playing mandolin, guitar and fiddle. She has begun her music career in the family band The Sally Mountain Show. She began her solo career in 1990 trying to perform in country music genre, but as she didn’t achieve any significant success, she switched back to bluegrass. It happened in 2000 when she released her album “Back Home Again”. She held the title of “Female Vocalist of the year” from 2000 to 2006 according to The International Bluegrass Music Association. According to the Society for Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America she was Entertainer of the Year for 2002 – 2006. During her career, three of her albums have reached number one on the US Bluegrass albums, namely Good Thing Going, All American Bluegrass Girl and One Step Ahead.
