American rock band REO Speedwagon from the Midwestern, United States, was formed in 1967. The band comprises Dave Amato, Kevin Cronin, Neal Doughty, Bruce Hall and Bryan Hitt. The band took its name from the REO Speed Wagon, a flatbed truck and fire engine, manufactured by the REO Motor Car Company. ("R.E.O." are initials of the company's founder, Ransom Eli Olds, who also founded Oldsmobile, once a division of General Motors). They achieved mainsream success in 1978 with their breakthrough album, You Can Tune a Piano but You Can't Tuna Fish, which was the band's first to make the Top 40, peaking at number 29. The album also produced several hit singles such as "Roll with the Changes", "The Unidentified Flying Tuna Trot" and "Time for Me to Fly". This was the first album to feature Bruce Hall on bass.
