Latin Grammy-nominated Mexican pop band Reik from Mexicali, Baja California, was formed in 2003. The band comprises Jesus Alberto Navarro Rosas (lead vocals), Julio Ramirez Eguia (guitar and background vocals), and Gilberto Marín Espinoza (guitar). Originally the band performed under the name Rake. They quickly gained popularity in 2005 with their breakthrough self-titled debut album, which produced their biggest hits such as "Yo Quisiera", "Qué Vida La Mía", "Noviembre Sin Ti", "Niña" and "Levemente". This album also reached number 13 on the Latin Pop Albums Chart and peaked at number 34 on the Top Latin Albums Chart. Reik also was certified Platinum in Mexica.
