British dance, trip hop and instrumental band Red Snapper from London, was formed in 1993. The band comprises Ali Friend (double bass), Richard Thair (drums), and David Ayers (guitar). They emerged on the English dance scene in the mid-1990 with their debut album, Prince Blimey, which brought the band a contract with Matador Records. This album also reached number 60 in the UK and received critical acclaim. In 1999, they released their following album, Making Bones, which peaked at number 59 in the UK. They achieved mainstream success in 2000 with their breakthrough album, Our Aim Is to Satisfy, which yielded several singles such as "Belladonna", "They're Hanging Me Tonight", "Some Kind of Kink", "Shellback" and "Don't Go Nowhere".
