Raheem DeVaughn

Raheem DeVaughn is an American R&B and neo-soul singer and songwriter from Newark, New Jersey, the United States. He is a son of jazz cellist and federal worker. He showed his love for the music during his childhood and teens. His father took him to the gigs and DeVaughn experienced the life of a working musician. One of his favorite artists was Babyface. However, he is compared to Dwele, Van Hunt, D'Angelo, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder. His debut album The Love Experience was released in 2005. The peak of his career was in 2008 when his song “Woman” was nominated for Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance. The song features his album Love behind the Melody.
