Rachael Yamagata

Rachael Yamagata is an American singer-songwriter born on September 23, 1977 in Arlington, Virginia, the United States. Yamagata began her career in Chicago-based funk-fusion band Bumpus. She spent six years with the band and after writing some songs, which didn’t fit Bumpus repertoire, she decided to launch a solo career. She released her debut album Happenstance in June 2004. Many of her songs featured TV shows like Charmed, How I Met Your Mother, ER , Nip/Tuck, Men in Trees, Alias, One Tree Hill etc. Her second album Elephants...Teeth Sinking Into Heart came out in 2008.
