Primordial

Primordial is an Irish black metal band formed in 1991 in Skerries, Ireland. The band was founded by Pól MacAmlaigh (bass) and Ciarán MacUiliam (guitars). The current members of the band are Alan Averill on vocals, Ciáran MacUiliam on guitars, Micheál O'Floinn – on guitars, Pól MacAmlaigh on bass and Simon O'Laoghaire on drums. At first the band was called Forsaken and played a primitive mix of Thrash and Death metal, playing covers of Death, Sepultura and others. After the vocalist Alan Averill joined the band their style changed to darker direction and was influenced by Norwegian and Greek black metal scenes. Eventually the band elaborated their own style as the fusion of black, Celtic and folk metal. They toured with many bands including the Norwegian cult black metal band Immortal.
