Poodles

Swedish hard rock, glam metal and heavy metal band The Poodles was formed in 2006. The band comprises Jakob Samuel (vocals), Pontus Egberg (bass), Christian Lundqvist (drums) and Henrik Bergqvist (Guitar). In 2006, Jakob Samuel was asked to sing the track "Night of Passion" and as he loved the song he asked Christian Lundqvist to join him as a drummer for that session. Later Pontus Egberg and Pontus Norgren joined them to perform it as a band, called The Poodles during Sweden’s official presentation at the Eurovision Song Contest in Greece. Later Pontus Norgren left the band. In 2006, they released their debut album, Metal Will Stand Tall, which yielded several singles such as "Night of Passion", "Metal Will Stand Tall", "Rockstar" and "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes". The band's following album, Sweet Trade, was released in 2007. It spawned three singles, "Seven Seas" (feat. Peter Stormare), "Streets of Fire" and "Line of Fire" (feat. E-Type).
