PJ Harvey

Polly Jean Harvey, better known as PJ Harvey is an English alternative rock and indie rock singer-songwriter born on October 9, 1969 in Bridport, Dorset, the United Kingdom. She is a multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, piano, keyboards, bass, harmonica, percussion, violin, harp and cello. During her music career, she has been recognized by seven BRIT Awards nominations, five Grammy Award nominations and Mercury Music Prize. The Rolling Stone magazine included two of her albums (Rid of Me, To Bring You My Love) in their list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Q magazine readers voted for her as number one female rock artist. She has released quite a number of singles, which were popular in many countries. Some of them are "Henry Lee" (with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), "Down by the Water", "A Perfect Day Elise" and some others.
