Phalanx

American trance music band Phalanx was formed in 1995. The group comprises guitarist James "Blood" Ulmer, drummer Rashied Ali, tenor saxophonist George Adams, and bassist Sirone. Their music style is often considered as a combination of electronic and trance with elements of jazz, rock and soul sounds. The band's founder James "Blood" Ulmer started his career as a DJ and performed as an opening act for various famous acts. Later, he decided to create a group and recruited several musicians such as Rashied Ali, George Adams and Sirone. They came to prominence with their first self-tiled album, which received very good reviews from critics. They achieved mainstream success with their following album, Symphony in Gminor CDM, which spawned the singles such as "Symphony in Gminor" (Club Mix), "Symphony in Gminor" (Sol 7 Mix) and "Symphony in Gminor (Deja Vu Re...)".
