Peter Murphy

Peter Murphy, birth name Peter John Murphy is an English gothic rock musician born on July 11, 1957 in Northampton, England, the UK. He is primary known as the lead vocalist in the rock band Bauhaus. Murphy is often called “Godfather of Goth”. He is known for his solo career as well. He has released 10 albums including one compilation and one extended play. His songs didn’t chart well, but he is known for the mainstream audience for his hit single “Cuts You Up” which reached number one on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart.
