Paul Weller

John William Weller, better known under his stage name Paul Weller was born on May 25, 1958 in Woking, Surrey, England. He is an English rock and soul singer-songwriter and musician playing guitar, bass guitar and piano. Weller began his music career founding the band The Jam with his best friends. They reached the mainstream success and have become one of the biggest acts in the UK by the early 1980s. However, the band disbanded in 1982. Weller went on with his music career and co-founded a new band The style Council. He reached the mainstream success as well including such countries like the U.S. and Australia. At the end of the 1980s, the popularity of the group went down and they disbanded. Paul Weller established himself as one of the leading British solo singer-songwriters.
