Charles Eugene Boone, better known as Pat Boone is an American pop and southern gospel singer, songwriter, actor, motivational speaker and spokesman, born on June 1, 1934 in Jacksonville, Florida, the United States. He was very successful pop singer in the U.S. throughout the 1950s and 1960s. During that time many of his songs were popular, including "Ain't That a Shame", "Long Tall Sally", "I Almost Lost My Mind", "Don't Forbid Me", "Love Letters In The Sand", "April Love", "Moody River", "Speedy Gonzales" and many others.
