Over The Rhine

Over the Rhine is an American folk and alternative band formed in Cincinnati, Ohio, the United States. The band’s core members are wife and husband Karin Bergquist (vocalist and guitarist) and Linford Detweiler (bassist, guitarist, pianist). Other band members are Jacob Bradley - bass, electric guitar, backing vocals, Mickey Grimm - drums, backing vocals and Kenny Hutson - electric guitar, dobro, mandolin, pedal steel. The band’s name comes from the Cincinnati neighborhood Over the Rhine. The band, founded in 1989, has released quite a number of albums. The debut work titled ‘Till We Have Faces” was released in 1991 on an independent label. One of their albums – Ohio (2003) released through Virgin/Back Porch Records received 5 stars from the Paste magazine. The band is quite popular and regularly plays shows.
