Olive

Olive are an English dance and electronica band formed in 1994. The band composes of two members – Ruth-Ann Boyle on vocals and Tim Kellett – songwriter and instrumentalist. The original line-up included also Robin Taylor-Firth, a keyboard programmer. During their career, the band has released two studio albums and the last one was released without Taylor-Firth. The debut album Extra Virgin was released in 1996 and reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. The album spawned hit single number one "You're Not Alone". The song charted in many countries and reached number 3 in Ireland and number 5 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs. The song earned the band their only Ivor Novello Award for the Best Dance Music.
