O'Donnell, Daniel

Daniel Francis Noel O'Donnell, better known just as Daniel O’Donnell is a popular Irish singer, television presenter and philanthropist, born on December 12, 1961 in Kincasslagh, County Donegal, Ireland. He is the youngest among his siblings (he is the fifth child). He started singing in the local church choir but wanted to pursue a career in a bank. He went to study in the Business School however he couldn’t settle up and ended in his sister’s band. Later he left the band as he didn’t get many opportunities to sing solo. In 1983 he recorded his first solo single and sold it himself. Later he founded several groups and finally he reached success in the middle of the 1990s. He appeared on the biggest TV shows in the UK and Ireland. Being an Irish citizen he was awarded an Honorary MBE.
