The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band are an American folk-rock-country band formed in Long Beach, California, the United States in 1966. The band is still active and they still release their albums. since the formation, the line-up changed for many times. The core members are Jeff Hanna – singer, guitarist, and Jimmie Fadden – drummer. The other two members are Bob Carpenter – Keyboards, accordion, bass, vocals and John McEuen – Banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin. The band has released 25 albums. The debut album The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band was released in 1967 and the last one to date Speed of Life in 2009. Three of the band’s albums were certified Platinum - Will the Circle Be Unbroken, Twenty Years of Dirt, and Will the Circle Be Unbroken: Volume Two.
