Nicholas Rodney Drake, known better as Nick Drake, was born on June 19 1948 in Rangoon, Burma and died on November 25 1974 in Tanworth-in-Arden, England aged 26. He was an English singer-songwriter and guitarist though he also played clarinet, piano and saxophone. He failed to achieve the mainstream audience during his lifetime but now he is considered to be one of the most influential English musicians during the last 50 years. During his short career he has released three studio albums - Five leaves left (1969), Bryter layter (1070) and Pink Moon (1972).
