New Amsterdams

American acoustic rock and indie rock band New Amsterdams comes from Lawrence, Kansas, the United States. The band was founded by Matt Pryor in 2000 as a side project when he was a member of the band The Get Up Kids. The current band’s line-up composes of Matthew Pryor, Dustin Kinsey, Eric McCann, Bill Belzer and Jason Rich. The band was signed to Vargant Records for a long time and they released five albums through this label. The first album, which was released with a full size band was Worse for the Wear. The album came out in 2003 and was recorded with Rob and Ryan Pope, and Ed Rose. The albums released before, were primary solo materials written by Matt Pryor.
