Nevermore

American heavy metal and death metal band Nevermore from Seattle, Washington, was formed in 1991. The band’s members are Wanel Dane (lead vocals, keyboards), Jeff Locomis (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jim Sheppard (bass guitar) and Van Williams (drums, percussion). The band’s music style is difficult to categorize because it is a combination of various styles such as progressive metal, heavy metal and death metal among others. Originally, this act performed under the stage name “Sanctuary”. They played heavy metal and grunge music. The band’s members were heavily influenced by Nirvana and Pearl Jam. In the early 1990s, they signed a contract with Century Media Records. After, this deal, they started recording their debut self-titled album, which received very good reviews from critics.
