Filippo Neviani is an Italian pop rock and Latin pop singer-songwriter born on January 6, 1972 in Sassuolo, Modena, Italy. He is mostly known under his stage name Nek. He began his professional music career in 1992. Next year he participated in prestigious Sanremo Music Festival where he came third in New Talents Section with his song “In te”. His second album received the same title and in 1994 he won his first award – European Award as best Italian young pop artist. 1997 saw his massive hit "Laura non c'è" which won Sanremo Festival.
