Natalie Cole, birth name Natalie Maria Cole is an American singer, songwriter, pianist and actress, born on February 6, 1950 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. Cole was born in a musical family – her father was a crooner and mother sang in Duke Ellington Orchestra. She began her music career releasing a debut album Inseparable in 1975. The album reached the Gold status and became number one on the Top R&B/Hip-hop albums. The same year she won her first Grammy Award for Best New Artist of the Year.
