Musiq Soulchild

Taalib Johnson better known under his stage name Musiq Soulchild was born on September 16, 1977 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the United States. He’s an American artist covering such genres as R&B, soul, funk, alternative, blues, jazz and hip hop. He began his music career in 2000 releasing his debut album Aijuswanaseing. The album broke up the charts and Soulchild rose to fame quite quickly. The album was supported by several singles like “Just Friends” (Sunny), “Love” and “Girl next Door”. The album was certified 2 x Platinum. His next releases continued this success. Since then Musiq Soulchild has released four more albums. One of them Juslisen was certified Platinum and Soulstar and Luvanmusiq became Gold. Juslisen debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Charts and yielded two singles “Halfcrazy” and “Dontchange”.
