Morbid

Morbid was a Swedish black/death/thrash metal band from Stockholm formed in 1986. The band’s founder and main creative force was Per Yngve "Dead" Ohlin. The band’s line-up couldn’t settle for some time. The line-up which recorded the debut demo composed of Ohlin on vocals, John "John Lennart" Hagström and "TG" on guitars, Jens Näsström on bass and Lars-Göran Petrov on drums. The debut demo December Moon was released in 1987. After that, Ohlin and Hangstrom left the band for Mayhem, a famous Norwegian black metal band. The other band members tried to continue their work and invited another vocalist John Scarisbrick. The second demo “Last Supper” was released in 1988. Though the band has released officially only two demos, they have reached a cult status mainly because of Ohlin’s contribution to Mayhem and the fact that he committed suicide in 1991.
