Miranda Cosgrove, birth name Miranda Taylor Cosgrove is an American film and television actress and pop rock, teen pop singer and songwriter. She was born on May 14, 1993 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. She began her career in modeling and acting being a child. She was discovered by a talent agent while she was dancing when she was only 3 years old. Since that time, she began appearing in TV commercials and later auditioned for theater and television roles. During her career, she filmed in such movies like School of Rock, Yours, Mine and Ours, Keeping Up with the Steins and Despicable Me. She also starred in many television series including iCarly where she played the main character. She rose to fame when recorded several songs for the iCarly soundtrack.
