Mighty Mighty Bosstones

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are an American third wave ska band, one of the originators of ska-core genre, mixing hardcore punk with third wave ska. The band comes from Boston, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1983 by Tim Bridewell, Nate Albert, Dicky Barrett, Joe Gittleman and Tim Burton. Since then, the band’s line-up has changed and the current band members are Dicky Barrett, Tim "Johnny Vegas" Burton, Ben Carr, Joe Gittleman, Lawrence Katz, Chris Rhodes, Joe Sirois and Kevin Lenear. During first years of existence, the band didn’t play regularly and their debut album “Devil’s Night Out”, recorded in 1989, was released in 1991 only. However, the band’s popularity was going up and they signed a deal with Mercury Records. This provided more opportunities and the band made their television debut, opened for the Aerosmith and did many other things that boosted them to the mainstream success.
