Michael Franti

American hip hop, funk, reggae, jazz and folk musician Michael Franti was born on April 21, 1966, in Oakland, California. He is well known for his music style, which is considered as a combination of funk, reggae, jazz, folk, and rock. In 1994, he released his debut album, Home, which included 13 tracks. His following album, Chocolate Supa Highway, was released in 1997. He achieved mainstream success in 2001 with his album, Stay Human, which peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers, number 6 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums and number 125 on the Billboard 200. It also produced the singles such as "Radio Segment", "We Don't Mind", "Radio Segment", "Rock the Nation", "Sometimes" and "Radio Segment".
