Matt Nathanson

American folk and rock singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson was born on March 28, 1973 in Lexington, Massachusetts. In the early 1990s, he signed to Acrobat Records. In addition, in 1993, he released his debut album, Please, which did not achieve any success but received critical acclaim. His following album, ERNST, was released only in 1997. However, he achieved mainstream success with his sixth album, Some Mad Hope, which reached number 60 on the Billboard 200 and number 3 on the Top Independent Albums. It also produced several singles such as "Car Crash", "Come On Get Higher", "Heartbreak World", "Gone" and "Wedding Dress". The album's lead single, "Come On Get Higher", peaked at number 3 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks and became his most high-charting single.
