Matt Costa

American indie rock and folk music singer and songwriter Matt Costa (birth name Matthew Albert Costa) was born on June 16, 1982, in Huntington Beach, California. He emerged on the American folk music scene in 2005 with his debut self-released album, Songs We Sing, which included the singles such as "Sweet Rose", "Songs We Sing", "Sunshine" and "Whiskey & Wine". A year later, this album was re-released through Brushfire Records label. He achieved mainstream success in 2008 with his second studio album, Unfamiliar Faces, which yielded the singles, "Mr. Pitiful", "Lilacs", "Never Looking Back", "Emergency Call" and "Vienna".
