Marques Berrett Houston, known better as Marques Houston is an American R&B singer and actor. He was born on August 4, 1981 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. He was a founding member of the R&B band Immature/IMx. The other band members were Jerome “Romeo” Jones and Kelton “LDB”Kessee. Houston’s nickname was “Batman”. The group released four albums under the name Immature and two albums under the name IMx but they disbanded in 2002. After the band split, Houston decided to begin his solo career. Since that time he has released three solo albums. The most successful one is his third album Veteran which reached number one on the US R & B chart.
