Marit Larsen

Marit Elisabeth Larsen known better as Marit Larsen was born on July 1, 1983 in Lørenskog, Norway. She is a Norwegian singer-songwriter playing guitar, piano, mandolin and harmonica. She rose to fame as a part of the pop duo M2M where she played guitar and did the half work for vocals and songwriting. The duo was signed to Atlantic Records but the label dropped them and this led to band’s dissolving. Larsen launched her solo career by recording a debut album Under the Surface. The album spawned a hit single “Don’t Save me” which quickly climbed on the top of many Norwegian charts. The album was certified 2 x Platinum and reached number 3 in Norway. Her next album The Chase was released in 2008. The following year saw this album released in Germany and Austria under the title If a Song Could Get Me You.
