Maria Mena

Maria Viktoria Mena, better known as Maria Mena was born on February 19, 1986 in Oslo, Norway. She is of Norwegian-Nicaraguan decent and she is a Norwegian pop singer-songwriter. She was raised in an artistic family – her father played in several Oslo bands and inspired her to writer hew own music and to record. Later her father helped her to begin a music career. He presented her demo to several record labels and finally Mena was signed by Sony Music. She released her debut album Another Phase in 2002 and quickly gained the popularity. Her album reached number six on the Norwegian chart. In total, she has released five studio albums and two last ones Apparently Unaffected and Cause the Effect were certified Gold in Germany.
