Marco Antonio Solis
Marco Antonio Solis is a Mexican composer, singer and musician born on December 29, 1959 in Ario de Rosales, Michoacán, Mexico. He began his music career at the age of 12 when he and his cousin Joel formed a group “Los Hermanitos Solis”. At the beginning of the 1970s, he formed another band “Los Bukis”. The band was successful in Mexico, South America and the United States among fans of Latin music. He wrote the song for his band and at the same time, he wrote for other artists as well. After 20 years of working in a group, he decided to pursue a solo career and began it in 1996. That year saw his debut solo album “En Pleno Vuelo”. His third album “Trozos de mi Alma” earned him fans in the United States where the album was certified Platinum. Solis is Latin Grammy Award winner.
