MAE

MAE are an American rock band coming from Norfolk, Virginia, the United States. The band was founded in 2001. MAE stands for "Multi-sensory Aesthetic Experience”. The current members are Dave Elkins (born Dave Gimenez) – vocals, guitar, Zach Gehring – guitar and Jacob Marshall – drums, piano. The band signed with Tooth and Nail Records and released their debut album Destination: Beautiful in 2003. The album didn’t hit any of the charts. The next album was The Everglow. That one did much better and reached number one on the Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200. After that the band singed to Capitol Records and released their third album Singularity. In 2008, the band split ways with Capitol. In 2009 they started their own label Cell Records.
