Matthew Stephen Ward, known as M. Ward is an American indie folk singer-songwriter born on October 4, 1973 in Newbury Park, California, the United States. He began his solo career in 1999 releasing the debut album Duet for Guitars #2. He continued with End of Amnesia in 2001. In total, he has released seven studio albums including one live album.
