Lyrics Born, birth name Tom Shimura is a Japanese American hip hop artists born in 1972 in Tokyo, Japan. During his life, he lived not only in Tokyo, but also in Salk Lake City, Utah, and in Berkeley, California. At the beginning of his career, he was known as Asia born. He began his professional music career in 2003 releasing his debut album Later That Day. The album was released through Shimura’s own record label Quannum projects.
