He is also a record producer and covers such genres like country and alternative country. During his career, he has released quite a number of albums. The debut album Lyle Lovett was released in 1986 and reached number 14 on the Top Country Albums. His highest achievement in the charts belongs to his last album “it’s not Big, It’s Large”. The albums reached number two on the Country chart and number 18 on the Billboard 200. The album was supported by two singles “South Texas Girl” and “No Big Deal”.
