Loverboy

Canadian rock and hard rock band Loverboy from Calgary, Alberta, was formed in 1980. The band comprises Mike Reno, Paul Dean, Doug Johnson, "Spider" Sinnaeve and Matt Frenette. They quickly gained popularity in the early 1980s with their self-titled debut album, which has been certified platinum five times in Canada and two times in the USA. It also spawned the band's first hit singles such as "The Kid Is Hot Tonite" and "Turn Me Loose". They continued the success with their following multi-platinum album, Get Lucky, which reached number seven on the U.S. Billboard 200 album chart and produced several singles including "Working for the Weekend", "When It's Over", "Lucky Ones", "Gangs In the Street", and "Take Me to the Top". The album's lead single, "Working for the Weekend", peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 100 Hot singles and number 2 on the mainstream rock chart in the USA.
