Loudness (Raudonesu) is a Japanese heavy metal band formed in 1981 in Osaka, Japan. The band was founded by guitarist Akira Takasaki and drummer Munetaka Haguchi. This is the first Japanese metal act in the music history to be signed in the United States. The current band members are Minoru Niihara on vocals, Akira Takasaki on electric guitar, Masayoshi Yamashita on bass guitar and Masayuki Suzuki – on drums. The band released their debut album the Birthday Eve in 1981 and later began their expansion to the West. They began singing in English and soon that turned into a trend for many Japanese rock and metal bands. Three of their albums were released in America and they could hit the Billboard charts. Two of their singles had special English versions like “Road Racer” and “Let it Go”. The band’s discography is very rich. They released very many albums.
