Los Lobos

American alternative rock, pop rock and power pop band Los Lobos from East Los Angeles, California, was founded in 1973 and currently comprises David Hidalgo (Vocals, Guitar, Accordion, Fiddle, Requinto Jarocho), Louie Pérez (Vocals, Guitar, Drums, Jarana Huasteca), Cesar Rosas (Vocals, Guitar, Bajo Sexto), Conrad Lozano (Vocals, Bass, Guitarron) and Steve Berlin (Keyboards, Horns). The band's music style is considered as a blend of rock and roll, country music, folk, R&B and blues with elements of traditional Spanish and Mexican sounds. They achieved mainstream success with their breakthrough album, The Ride, which reached number 75 on the Billboard 200. It also spawned several singles such as "Wreck of the Carlos Rey" (featuring Richard Thompson), "A Matter of Time" (featuring Elvis Costello), "Someday" (featuring Mavis Staples) and "La Venganza de Los Pelados" (featuring Café Tacuba).
