Little Richard

American rock and roll, rhythm and blues, soul and gospel singer, songwriter, pianist and recording artist Little Richard (birth name Richard Wayne Penniman) was born on December 5, 1932. He rose to fame in 1955, when he under the guidance of Robert Blackwell began performing on the stage in a style, which was featuring varied rhythm, funky saxophone grooves and other emotive inflections. This new style of music inspired James Brown, Elvis Presley and many other rhythm & blues and soul music artists. In 1957, he released his breakthrough first album, Here's Little Richard, which produced two hits, "Long Tall Sally" and "Jenny, Jenny". And now, you may download Little Richard's debut album, Here's Little Richard, in mp3 from our site. The album's lead single, "Long Tall Sally", peaked at number 6 on the U.S. Pop charts.
