Linda Thompson, birth name Linda Pettifer, is a British folk rock singer born on August 23, 1947 in London, England. She is known for working in a duet with her former husband and British folk legend Richard Thompson. Their debut album I Want to See the Bright Lights Tonight was released in 1974. She and Richard had a successful career but they divorced and Linda lost her voice caused by hysterical dysphonia. This happened after her break up with former husband. She recovered and embarked on solo career. The debut solo album One Clear Moment was released in 1985. Later she married an American and retired from music business. The death of her mother made her to sing again, but the loss of the voice caused by spasmodic dysphonia prevented her from singing. However, she could find the solution and released a new album Fashionably Late in 2002. You can download this album by Linda Thompson in mp3 from our site.
