Life Of Agony

Life of Agony (LoA) is an American alternative metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York, the United States in 1989. The band was founded by vocalist Keith Caputo, bassist Alan Robert and guitarist Joey Z. After auditioning several drummers, they recruited Sal Abruscato from Type O Negative. The band was highly influenced by such groups like Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Metallica and Social Distortion. LoA’s music can be classified as heavy metal, hard rock, alternative rock and alternative metal. The band has released six albums, including one compilation album and one live album. The last band’s release came out in 2005 titled Broken Valley. Since that time, the band hasn’t been working with any new material as all the members are pursuing their solo projects.
