Les Claypool

Leslie Edward “Les” Claypool is an American musician, born on September 29, 1963 in Richmond, California, U.S. He’s best known as bassist of the band Primus. He has a very creative style of playing which includes finger-tapping, flamenco-like strumming, and Larry Graham-like slap technique. He played bass for Metallica in 1986 when their bassist Cliff Burton died. Les auditioned in the Master of Puppets. He began his solo career in 1994 with releasing a debut album Sausage. The last one was issued in 2009 and got the title Of Fungi and Foe. You can download it from our site in mp3. Les Claypool collaborated with numerous musicians including Tom Waits, Zach Hill, Jack Irons and many more. He took part in recording soundtracks for South Park, Robot Chicken and for videogames like Guitar Hero 2, Mushroom Men: The Spore Wars and others.
