Lemar Obika, professionally known as Lemar is a British soul and R&B singer-songwriter and vocal producer born on April 4, 1978 in London, England. He is of Nigerian descent. Obika began listening to music when he was a child. He and his brothers used to sing at home pretending to be The Jacksons. The first his concert was supporting Usher when he was 17 years old. Obika rose to the national prominence in 2002 when he was a contestant in the TV reality show Fame Academy. He ended third and that was the beginning of his way to the real fame. He has released four studio albums, 1 compilation album, and more than 10 singles. He scored several top ten singles in the UK including "Dance (With U)", "50/50 & Lullaby", "Another Day", "If There's Any Justice", "Time to Grow", "The Way Love Goes" and others.
