Lee Greenwood is an American country music artist, singer-songwriter, born on October 27, 1942 in South Gate, California, the United States. He began his professional music career in the late 1970s, when he was discovered by Larry McFaden. Greenwood made several demo tapes and signed by MCA division in Nashville, Tennessee. During his long career, he has released 22 studio albums, 7 compilation albums and 38 singles. His most commercially successful album is American Patriot. The album was released in 1992 and went on Platinum. It features such patriotic songs like “God Bless the U.S.A.”, “The Pledge of Allegiance”, “America the beautiful” and some others. He has scored several number one singles including "Somebody's Gonna Love You", "Going, Going, Gone", "Dixie Road", "I Don't Mind the Thorns (If You're the Rose)", "Don't Underestimate My Love for You" and some others.
