Lee Ann Womack is an American country music singer-songwriter, born on August 19, 1966 in Jacksonville, Texas, the United States. During her music career, she has released six studio albums and two compilation albums. She released her debut self-titled album in 1997. The album reached number 1 on the Top Heatseekers chart. Her best-selling and most successful album has become her third record titled I Hope You Dance. The album reached number 1 on the Top Country Albums and number 16 on the Billboard 200. The album was so popular that it was certified 3 x Multi-Platinum in the U.S. and Platinum in Canada. It yielded the hit single number one "I Hope You Dance" (with Sons of the Desert).
