LeadBelly
Huddie William Ledbetter, better known as Lead Belly or Leadbelly was an American folk and blues musician who has become an icon for many modern and contemporary musicians. His style of playing gave birth to such contemporary genres like county, folk and blues. He was born in January 1888 in Mooringsport, Louisiana, USA and died on December 6, 1949 in New York, New York, the United States. He played 12 string guitar, harmonica, accordion, piano, violin, mandolin and concertina. Due to his outstanding contribution to music, he was inducted posthumously in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Blues Hall of Fame. Many of his songs were popularized after his death and many famous musicians (Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, The Doors, Nirvana and many others) covered his songs.
