English rapper Lady Sovereign (birth name Louise Amanda Harman) was born on 19 December 1985, in Wembley, London, England. She was influenced by her mother's Salt-N-Pepa albums and began writing her own raps at the age of 14. She began MCing ' in front of a mirror with a can of hairspray for a mic.'
